Circuit Parcmotor Castellolí closes successfully the ‘South European Young Engineering Days 2018′
- The Circuit Parcmotor Castellolí restated his commitment with the industry, the sport and the innovation celebrating the South European Young Engineering Days 2018.
- The Formula Student, the Barcelona Smartmoto Challenge and the Smartdrone Challenge gathered to 250 European undergraduates that presented and put test his projects in a special competition.
The best electrical cars and electrical motorbikes realised by university students shined of the 16 to the 22 of July in the Circuit Parcmotor to compete in the South European Young Engineering Days. A week full of activity with 17 teams who competed in Formula Student and the Barcelona Smartmoto Challenge with his creations.
250 students of universities of Russia, Turkey, Poland, Belgium, Germany and Spain live together in the facilities of the Parcmotor Circuit to take part in a competition where the members of the team design, build, develop and compete with his creations in several modalities.
“We are very proud to contribute and promote the sport with initiatives like this. For us is a satisfaction can be the hosts of an event like this and can help the young university engineers. In these days, they have showed to all that they have a brilliant future to conquer”, said the director of the Circuit Parcmotor, Antoni Pons.
The motocross tracks and the circuit were the places to celebrate the endurance competitions and several timed series and speed tests.
Since Monday, all the teams prepare his vehicles and motorbikes to pass the technical controls, using the diverse infrastructure of the Circuit Parcmotor like the zone of boxes and the polyvalent space. During Saturday and Sunday the competitions started in differents points.
Besides, during all the week, the members of all the teams lived togheter in the camping zone enabled for the event in the the Circuit Parcmotor Castellolí facilities.
